Artist Statement
This artwork captures the emotional tension between loneliness and connection through a careful balance of warm and cool colors. The use of dark maroon and gray creates a heavy, introspective atmosphere, while the pink spots generate moments of warmth, suggesting connection amidst the loneliness. The main contrast emerges in the diagonal flow of darker tones meeting brighter accents, creating visual collision that echoes the push and pull of emotional states. The layout, inspired by a corner invasion, ensures that the inner pattern of color represents central feelings, while the edges remain shadowed, leaving room for negative space that amplifies the sense of isolation.
