Artist Statement
This artwork embodies the emotional tension between loneliness and connection through a deliberate arrangement of colors and patterns. The palette, featuring black, dark violet, soft gold, and pale green, emphasizes the stark contrast between darkness (loneliness) and warmth (connection). The main collision occurs in the center where a single pixel suggests isolation, surrounded by heavier, darker colors that create pressure, echoing an encroaching solitude. Lines of soft gold and pale green intertwine, resembling connections attempting to break through the darker layers, reflecting the push and pull of relationships. The layout maintains negative space, enhancing the feelings of emptiness while inviting glimpses of potential connection.
