Artist Statement
This artwork embodies the tension between vulnerability (exposure) and protection (safety). The warm brown and shelter green represent the notion of a gentle, secure center, while the pale skin and cold white echo the feeling of being exposed. The arrangement gives prominence to shelter, leaving a rippling impact with accents of blue providing a sense of calm contrasts against the structured boundary created by the weight of the brown.
