Artist Statement
This composition explores the emotional contrast between longing and resolve. The palette juxtaposes stark black and vibrant electric blue with softer accents of lime and magenta to echo feelings of tension and stability. The layout of broken pixels and the stepwell and crack patterns interact to symbolize the central collision of emotions—one representing yearning and the other representing steadiness. The main collision occurs centrally, leading to a radiating effect that suggests movement towards resolution amidst the longing. The negative spaces allow for reflection, creating a balance between the chaotic feelings of repair and damage.
