Artist Statement
This piece explores the tension between loneliness and connection through contrasting dark and light colors. The palette of black, dark violet, soft gold, and pale green symbolically represents fear and hope—the darker hues encircle the lighter ones, creating a visual representation of emotional pressure. The grid pattern forcefully contrasts the central light elements, leaving an intentional absence of color suggesting loneliness. Each broken pixel signifies fragments of memory and emotion, evoking the rhythm of a heartbeat against the backdrop of silence.
