Artist Statement
The composition captures the emotional tension between joy and grief through an interplay of bright and muted colors. I used a palette centered around warm and cool tones, emphasizing contrasts like vibrant yellows against deep blues to echo the conflict between expanding joy and low grief. The layout features a central jagged pattern suggesting chaos, while the flowing edges hint at rising signals of hope. Each broken pixel symbolizes imperfection in emotional journeys, maintaining a sense of negative space to reinforce the feelings of both emotion and interruption.
