Artist Statement
The emotional tone of this piece captures the push and pull between fear and hope. The palette is derived from contrasting colors of deep black and dark violet representing fear, balanced by soft gold and pale green suggesting hope and light. Strong contrast occurs in the center, with a dark edge gradually transitioning to lighter colors, mimicking the feeling of pressure yielding to release. The shape seed, 'wall', is represented through a jagged composition, expressing fragmented fear while the soft textures of other colors provide a sense of soaring hope amidst jagged edges, conveying a story of emotional collision.
