Artist Statement
This composition embodies the emotional tension between pressure and quietude. The palette was chosen to juxtapose soft tones of off-white and faint peach with deeper compressions of dark navy and compressed red. The dense left side serves as a visual representation of pressure, neatly converging into lighter hues that signify release on the right, creating a diagonal flow that guides the eye. The use of broken pixels introduces a controlled sense of disruption, resembling an island of calm amidst chaos, illuminating the contrast of clarity and confusion.
