Artist Statement
This piece explores the emotional tension between loneliness and connection through color and layout. The palette features warm yellows and oranges contrasting with deep blue and muted purple, symbolizing the warmth of connection against the deep, isolating tones of loneliness. The grid-like arrangement plays with the idea of structure versus chaos, where the broken pixel effect introduces a sense of imperfection, echoing the hidden struggles within connections. This composition creates a dynamic flow from the outer edges towards the center, reflecting the inward longing for connection amidst surrounding feelings of isolation.
