Artist Statement
This piece captures the emotional tension between signal and noise through the contrast of dark navy and bright dim cyan. The chaotic islands of color represent static noise, while the lattice pattern in the center signifies a clear, pulsing signal trying to emerge. The broken pixels serve as intentional disruptions, echoing the theme of scars and imperfections amid an overarching order. The use of negative space allows for the pulse to breathe, producing a dynamic yet unresolved narrative of pressure versus calm.
