Artist Statement
This artwork embodies the emotional contrast between relief and dread through a swirling pattern of color and density. The palette combines soft hues with deeper tones to create tension; pale mint and soft sky suggest moments of relief, while storm gray and near-black evoke the feelings of dread. The dense center, representing tension, loosens towards the edges, symbolizing a transition from pressure to lightness. The broken pixels add intentional disruptions, enhancing the sense of imperfection and uncertainty, therefore aligning with the themes of chaos and order present in the seed.
