Artist Statement
This piece embodies the emotional tension between longing and resolve through a juxtaposed arrangement. The outer border, representing longing, features softer hues of powder pink and warm white, creating a sense of ethereal yearning. In contrast, the inner core uses stronger steel gray and sharp crimson, symbolizing the power of resolve and determination. The collision between these contrasting emotions manifests most clearly at the center of the square, where the colors intersect, suggesting a struggle yet harmony between the two states.
