Artist Statement
The emotional tone reflects the tension between restlessness and peace, achieved through a jagged layout with dark, dense clusters contrasting against lighter, more spacious areas. The palette of deep blacks and reds embodies the turmoil, while pale blues and whites offer moments of calm. The collision happens in the center, where the denser, erratic clusters of dark colors (‘barcode’ pattern) meet the lighter, more fluid segments (‘hinge’ pattern), symbolizing the back-and-forth between unsettled and serene states.
