Artist Statement
The artwork captures the emotional contrast between rage and calm through a split composition. The upper half embodies calm with soft, radial patterns using pale blue and subtle whites to suggest serenity and open space. In contrast, the lower half utilizes jagged red stripes to represent the fury and explosive nature of rage, creating an intense collision of feelings. The palette mirrors this juxtaposition, with cool hues addressing calm and warm ones expressing agitation, allowing viewers to sense the tension and release inherent in the seed's dual themes of contradiction. The introduction of broken pixels emphasizes imperfection, allowing for a narrative of interruption across the entire piece.
