Artist Statement
This piece reflects the emotional tension between softness and severity. By employing both light and dark tones, I aimed to express how gentle colors (powder pink and warm white) clash with the sharper edges of carbon black and sharp crimson. The layout features scattered patches that symbolize repairs struggling against chaotic pulses, introducing irregularities that resonate with the idea of emotional scars. The primary contrast is between the soft pinks and the stark blacks, representing the gentle yet firm pull of feelings. The spiral logic suggested by the seed translates into an organized chaos, echoing feelings of guilt and forgiveness while maintaining a radical openness.
