Artist Statement
This piece embodies the emotional struggle between defiance and submission using a palette of red and black contrasted with pale blue and white. The central area is dense and aggressive, reflecting the defiance, while the outer regions recede with softer tones representing submission. The dominant black and red in the center create a collision with the cooler, quieter colors around, emphasizing the battle of emotions and the transitions symbolized in the seed. Broken pixels disrupt symmetry and suggest imperfections in this ongoing struggle.
