Artist Statement
This composition explores the emotional dichotomy of fear and hope. The dark colors represent fear, creating a heavy atmosphere with an overwhelming backdrop of black, dark violet, and deeper shades. Contrastingly, the soft gold and pale green embody hope, breaking through the oppressive darkness in a zigzagging dance of rising signals. The arrangement showcases sharp contrasts in texture and tone, with the central area being less saturated to create a vast empty space. Focal points of brightness interrupt the surrounding darkness, mirroring the struggle between these two emotional states, where hope pierces through fear like light through cracks.
