Artist Statement
This abstract composition explores the emotional dichotomy of softness and severity through a contrast of colors and their arrangement. The palette is inspired by 'softness_severity,' featuring soft hues of powder pink and warm white against the starkness of carbon black and sharp crimson, illustrating the emotional push and pull of these qualities. The main collision occurs in the upper center, where lighter colors interject a heavier dark mass, suggestive of a struggle between gentle resilience and harsh reality. Broken pixel placements create intentional disruptions in an otherwise layered flow, mirroring the interferences present in emotional landscapes. The overall layout leaves ample negative space, enhancing the feeling of tension while maintaining a sense of openness.
