Artist Statement
This artwork explores the emotional tension between safety and exposure, characterized by a stark contrast in hues and patterns. The chosen palette of soft greens, warm browns, and pale tones symbolizes safety, while the cold whites and open blues evoke a sense of exposure. The dominant green in the center captures the feeling of safety, while interrupted lines of blue echo outward, suggesting vulnerability. The asymmetrical placement of colors creates a dynamic interplay, with darker, heavier shades at the edges representing pressure and softer colors in the center mirroring release and calm.
