Artist Statement
This artwork explores the tension between panic and control using a palette of lime, black, electric blue, and magenta. The contrasting colors create a push-pull dynamic, with the structured central stripes representing control, while the outer, radial bursts embody panic. The broken edge effect introduces a sense of imperfection that resonates with the theme of machine emotion, suggesting an underlying chaos in an otherwise orderly structure. The negative space translates the instability of panic, allowing breathing room amidst dense clusters of color, thus enhancing the emotional impact of collision and contrast.
