Artist Statement
The emotional tone of this piece juxtaposes feelings of control and surrender. The color palette balances the warmth of powder pink and warm white, symbolizing calmness, against the starkness of carbon black and sharp crimson, representing pressure. The center of the piece, reflecting the idea of an 'overfilled center,' employs dense hues to create an area of intensity, while surrounding areas descend into more muted tones, resulting in a sense of gentle release. This design reflects the stutter step between conflicting emotions, with broken pixels introduced to create imperfections, reinforcing the struggle and beauty of surrendering control. The conflict is most pronounced at the center, evoking a visual echo of the seed's themes.
