Artist Statement
The emotional tone reflects the tension between strong desire and significant restraint. The palette combines warm saturated colors representing desire (hot coral, blood orange) with muted and cool tones (charcoal, hollow blue) symbolizing restraint. The main collision occurs in the central region where the saturated colors clash with muted fields, creating a dynamic focal point, resembling a struggle of impulses trapped against a sharp boundary. This encapsulates the spiraling pressures and sealed edges indicated by the seed, while the broken pixels add intentional disruption, echoing the emotional struggle conveyed through the arrangement.
