Artist Statement
This piece embodies the emotional tension between quiet and pressure through a dynamic interplay of dense and soft elements. The chosen palette features muted tones like off-white and faint peach representing quietude, contrasted against the more pronounced dark navy and compressed red that symbolize pressure. The arrangement shifts from crowded areas in the center reflecting pressure, gradually loosening towards the edges, where softer colors dominate, depicting a release. The diagonal argument speaks to the interplay of opposing forces, while the broken frame layout allows for a sense of leaking emotion, depicting the clash of tranquility with weight. Broken pixels are intentionally scattered to disrupt the flow, adding layers of complexity and imperfection.
