Artist Statement
This artwork embodies the tension between fear and hope, utilizing a palette of deep blacks contrasted with soft gold and pale green to evoke a fractured yet hopeful landscape. The left side, heavy with dark colors, suggests an overwhelming pressure, while the right balances this with lighter, uplifting colors that rise. The zigzag pattern introduces interruptions, representing the uncertainty of emotions. The application of broken pixels and a split vertical layout amplifies the theme of inside vs. outside, creating a visual echo of conflict layered with moments of calm.
