Artist Statement
This composition embodies the emotional dichotomy of trust versus suspicion. The palette, inspired by cosmic indigo and void black, creates an atmosphere of awe and terror—a somber yet rich exploration of contrast. Soft gold and deep teal serve as blending hues, producing echoes of trust within the shadows of suspicion. The main collision occurs diagonally, where the checker pattern of trust meets the mirror reflections of suspicion, both fighting for dominance yet coexisting. Broken pixels, scattered throughout, disrupt perfection, symbolizing vulnerability amidst the tension. The overall structure suggests a progression from familiarity to unease, reflective of the complex emotional navigation between the two contrasting states.
