Artist Statement
The artwork explores the emotional tension between nostalgia and progress, embodying contrasting rhythmic patterns. The top half reflects nostalgia through soft rings, evoking warmth and memory with dark blues and muted whites, while the bottom half symbolizes progress with sharp cracks, portraying movement and dynamic change through vibrant cyans and stark blacks. The palette combines dark depth with lighter signals, creating a balance of density and lightness, while broken pixels echo imperfections and our fragmented memories and futures.
