Artist Statement
This piece embodies the emotional interplay between strength and vulnerability. The palette features deep blacks and violets contrasted with soft golds and pale greens, symbolizing hope amidst the shadows of fear. The center showcases brighter colors, portraying an active struggle for connection, while the surrounding darker pixels represent the weight of alienation. The broken line shape seed is abstractly manifested as a structure of tension in the center disrupted by thin, vulnerable hues, leaving negative space to symbolize isolation. The collision occurs primarily at the center, where the vibrant spark of hope fights against the looming flood of darker colors.
