Artist Statement
This artwork conveys the emotional dichotomy of relief and dread through a deliberate arrangement of dense and airy placements. The colors—soft sky and faded gold represent relief, while the storm gray and near black encapsulate dread. The main collision occurs in the center, where darker pixels collide with lighter shades, embodying tension and release. The broken pixels add an imperfection that resonates with the themes of pressure and disruption, where defined edges blur into negative space, illustrating the spiral between chaos and calm.
