Artist Statement
This piece embodies the emotional tension between control and surrender. The selected palette of ripe green, acid green, and warm honey gold contrasts against deep olive and cream, suggesting growth and chaos versus calm. The collision between the structured channel of green and the more unpredictable checker pattern of honey gold portrays the struggle for balance amidst an overwhelming center. The deep olive serves to ground the composition while creating an aura of containment around the gradients of color, illustrating the emotional conflict at play.
