Artist Statement
This artwork embodies the emotional tension between longing and resolve. The chosen palette balances vibrant electric blue and hot magenta against static gray and dead black, echoing the conflict and repair suggested by the seed. The inner area constructs a barcode-like rhythm representing longing, with its thin, separated lines, while the outer border portrays resolve through solid, ripple-like waves, producing a sense of controlled energy. The pixel disruptions act as scars that illustrate imperfections and the struggles of repair amidst conflict. The center of the composition captures the peak collision point between these emotions, manifesting a push-pull sensation throughout the grid.
