Artist Statement
This piece explores the emotional contrast between emptiness and desire. The warm tones signify an intense longing, creating a saturated pull that dominates two-thirds of the grid, while the cool, muted colors represent a sense of emptiness and constraint. The interplay between the halo pattern of warm colors and the frame-like edges evokes both a yearning and the boundaries imposed upon that yearning. The arrangement descends like falling pixels, overlapping to create tension that echoes the theme of containment versus overflow.
