Artist Statement
The emotional tone embodies a struggle between nostalgia's warmth and progress's cold precision. The palette of lime, black, electric blue, and magenta reflects varied feelings—lime and magenta evoke nostalgia while black and electric blue symbolize forward motion. The primary contrast is between the vibrant left side and the darker right, depicting a collision between memory and ambition, a visual echo of the past meeting modernity. The split layout and stair-like patterns reinforce the theme of ascent and descent, with broken pixels introducing imperfection, representing interrupted memories. This results in a dynamic flow that suggests movement through time.
