Artist Statement
This composition captures the tension between loneliness and connection through a structured layout that emphasizes negative space. The left side, representing loneliness, uses deep navy and black tones to evoke solitude and isolation. The right, representing connection, introduces softer dim cyan and white to symbolize light and warmth. The thick outlines provide definition, while the uneven distribution of tones creates a dynamic burst around the center, suggesting the push and pull of human emotion. The pattern of 'split screen' reflects an internal conflict, deeply intertwined yet clearly divided.
