Artist Statement
The emotional tone reflects the juxtaposition of vulnerability and protection, embodying tension between safety and exposure. The chosen palette consists of gentle earth tones and cool highlights, emphasizing the interplay between warm and cold emotions. The contrast focuses on a pale center representing exposure, surrounded by darker colors suggesting safety; this arrangement creates a visual echo toward the top right side, where the safety colors gradually mingle with the exposure shades, illustrating a blend of tension and release. The pattern integrates a frame-like rhythm that alternates with channel-like strokes, symbolizing both sheltering and breaking boundaries, while a few 'broken pixels' introduce intentional imperfections, enhancing the narrative of disruption and resilience.
