Artist Statement
The emotional tone captures the tension between desire and restraint, framed by a desire for saturation clashing with a solid sealing edge. The palette blends deep, saturated hues of red oxide and muted cream, creating a dynamic pull against the solid backdrop of blackened plum and iron gray. The main contrast occurs at the central passage where saturated desire meets the boundary of restraint, symbolized by overlapping checker and stack patterns. This evokes an emotional narrative of yearning held in check, indicative of internal conflict through a vibrant dance of colors.
