Artist Statement
This piece embodies the emotional dichotomy between joy and grief, using a warm palette of yellows and oranges (representing joy) juxtaposed against deep blues and muted purples (embodying grief). The layout mirrors itself with subtle disruptions, representing the chaotic nature of emotion. The flow radiates outward, creating tension through hard edges that suggest both confinement and escape.
