Artist Statement
This artwork explores the interplay between strength and vulnerability through contrasting colors and patterns. The palette, inspired by deep shades of mourning black and renewal shades like pale yellow and new leaf, creates a juxtaposition between heavy, anchored tones and lighter, fragile hues. The main collision occurs in the top-left corner, where dense color meets stark, negative space, reflecting a flood of emotions against a structured boundary. This embodies the seed's themes of conflict and resilience, using broken patterns to suggest imperfection and echoes of past strength.
