Artist Statement
This artwork embodies the tension between tenderness and rage, evoking both emotions through contrasting patterns of pixel placement. The palette of deep reds, calming blacks, and pale blues signifies the tumultuous interplay, with red representing rage and blue signifying calmness. The dominant black acts as a grounding force, reminiscent of a veil, cloaking both emotions in ambiguity. The main collision occurs along the diagonal flow, where the jagged texture of red pixels intersects with the softer noise of pale blue, creating a dynamic tension. The imperfect, broken pixels signify emotional disruptions that seep through the structured layout, enhancing the sense of conflict and resolution.
