Artist Statement
This composition reflects the emotional dichotomy of longing and resolve through layered textures and contrasting colors. The muted blues represent a feeling of depth and quiet introspection associated with longing, while bursts of warm oranges symbolize the strength and determination of resolve. The central collision of vibrant orange against the calming blue illustrates the tension between these emotions—assertive yet contained. Broken pixels disrupt the regularity, signifying the scars of experiences and imperfections that add depth to the sense of repair versus damage, fitting the selected themes. The sparse quiet space balances the dense color island, inviting the viewer to experience the push and pull of these emotional currents.
