Artist Statement
This piece explores the dichotomy of longing and resolve. The chosen palette features deep navy and black to evoke a sense of depth and introspection, balanced by the light of rendered white tones to convey moments of clarity or resolution. The contrast is mainly orchestrated through a collision at the center, where concentrated woven ‘pulse marks’ meet a field of broad crosshatching — representing the tension between desire and fulfillment. Broken pixels are deliberately introduced to signify the fragility of these emotions, creating a narrative of repair amidst chaos. The overall flow suggests a quiet reflection, triggering a sense of urgency within serenity as warmth and coolness interplay beneath a seemingly calm surface.
