Artist Statement
This composition reflects the emotional tension between restlessness and peace, embodying the struggle of movement versus calm. The palette, featuring soft hues of rose clay and distant lilac juxtaposed against the sharper accents of cool blue and lamp gold, reinforces the contrast between peace and disturbance. The spiraling flow leads the eye toward a chaotic center, where maze-like patterns evoke restlessness against the braided patterns representing peace, emphasizing collision and interference. There is a deliberate use of broken pixels to create a sense of imperfection and disruption, serving as echoes of memory within the otherwise calm structure.
