Artist Statement
This piece explores the emotional turmoil of restlessness countered by moments of peace. The palette combines deep wine and warm ivory to signify rich emotional depth against lightness of being. The contrast lies predominantly in the center, where a dense knot of dark colors represents tension, while lighter shades spread outward, reflecting tranquility. The 'braid' and 'stepwell' patterns unite in a diagonal flow, emphasizing movement toward resolution, while broken pixels create intentional disruptions, symbolizing fragmentation within the conflict of these feelings.
