Artist Statement
The emotional tone balances love and betrayal, resembling the tension between warmth and darkness. The chosen palette of pinks and maroons represents intimacy and vulnerability, while grays indicate coldness and distance. The contrast between the top and bottom halves accentuates this emotional duality, with sharp edges on the love side suggesting a maze-like nurturing warmth, while the betrayal side employs darker colors to create a spark-like dissonance. The abstract pattern is influenced by the seed's notion of inner conflict, resulting in a split diagonal flow that symbolizes chaos against structure, anchored by negative space to reflect isolation and contemplation.
