Artist Statement
The emotional tone embodies a tension between longing (soft, flowing pink hues) and resolve (firm, controlled dark maroon tones). Utilizing the palette of pinks and grays illustrates an emotional journey that shifts from warmth to firmness. The main contrast occurs centrally where layers of broken pixels mimic the struggle between desire and completion, breaking the rhythm but also holding the piece together. The pattern features a flooding effect on the top four rows, transitioning into a more structured quiet field below, representing a move from chaotic longing to resolved grounding.
