Artist Statement
This piece encapsulates the emotional struggle between relief and dread. The palette blends soft sky blues and pale mints for relief, contrasted with deep storm grays and near blacks that signify dread. The collision occurs predominantly at the center, where the heavy dark colors clash with the lighter shades, creating a tension that is visual yet abstract. The organized chaos of broken pixels represents moments of imperfection and echoes the 'spiral counterclockwise' motion. The layout begins in the corner and diagonally spreads, allowing for the experience of pressure to ebb, reflecting on both relief and weight as suggested by the seed's concepts.
