Artist Statement
This piece captures the emotional tension between 'longing' and 'resolve' through contrasting dark and light colors. The chosen palette of deep navy and bright white juxtaposes feelings of distance against clarity, echoing the movement from an unfulfilled desire towards firm resolution. The main contrast occurs centrally, where densely packed 'longing' patterns, represented by dark tones, meet lighter 'resolve' accents, reminiscent of teeth. Broken pixels sporadically disrupt the structure, creating scars across the canvas and amplifying a sense of both repair and ongoing damage.
