Artist Statement
This composition balances between longing and resolve, utilizing a palette of mourning black, deep blue, new leaf, pale yellow, and stone to signify a transition from deep emotions to renewal. The top half features a stacked pattern representing longing with muted tones interrupted by sporadic bright accents, while the bottom half employs a stepping pattern for resolve, showcasing more structured shapes. The main collision occurs in the middle rows, where dark colors overlap with lighter ones, reflecting the tension between the yearning for connection and the drive to find purpose. The broken pixels introduce imperfections, mirroring the fragility of both emotions in a structured yet chaotic environment.
