Artist Statement
This abstract artwork channels the emotional tone of safety and exposure through contrasting color fields that evoke warmth and openness. I selected a palette of shelter green, warm brown, pale skin, cold white, and open blue, which balances the tension between the nurturing qualities of safety and the starkness of exposure. The dominant green and brown create a heavy, yet soft base, while lighter colors echo vulnerability, strategically located to illustrate the collision at the vertical split. The arrangement emphasizes a central openness framed by muted colors, with deliberate pixel disruptions adding layers of imperfection and tension, embodying both pressure and release.
