Artist Statement
This artwork embodies the emotional dichotomy of dread and relief through its contrasting color palette. Darker tones of storm gray and near black encapsulate an overwhelming weight, while the pale mint and faded gold evoke a sense of soft release. The layout of pulsating patterns emerging from a tight cluster towards the edges illustrates the flow of pressure expanding into an open space, echoing the conflict between density and emptiness while forming a captivating spiral of tension. Broken pixels disrupt the surface, representing scars or fragments of history, contributing to the piece's narrative of emotional upheaval.
