Artist Statement
This composition explores the emotional tension between longing and resolve. The color palette—deep red oxide, muted cream, and iron gray—reflects weight and restraint, evoking feelings of hunger tempered by quiet restraint. The arrangement features a dense cluster of colors in the corner, creating a pressure point where the longing is tangible. This is interrupted by lighter hues, dispersing tension into open space, enhancing the feeling of distance. The pattern reflects a crack to symbolize unresolved longing, interspersed with pulse marks representing the steady approach of resolution, while broken pixels introduce intentional disruptions, echoing chaos within the structure of order. This interplay between collision and quiet space transforms the seed into an abstract emotional narrative.
